The Cochrane Summer Economic Institute (CSEI) is a community outreach program administered by Collegiate School and funded by the Powell Economic Education Foundation. It is an intensive four-week summer program with applications open to high school juniors who live in the footprint of the Capital Region Collaborative. CSEI asks students to apply what they have learned about economics and entrepreneurship during the completion of two challenges. As many as 28 students from 12 or more schools participate in the program each summer. CSEI is a unique program in the Richmond community providing the rare opportunity for high school students to learn from seasoned business professionals and engage in a real-world business consulting project for an organization.
