FAQ

Q: Who should I ask if I have questions about what classes I should take next year?
A: Your Middle School counselor knows you and your records best! The high school counselors do not yet know who you are or what your strengths are, so it's better to consult with the teachers and counselors you have been working with in middle school!

Q: How do I select courses for next year?
A: Your counselors will be reviewing the process after winter beak!

Q: Can I take driver's ed as a freshman?
A: In order to sign up for driver's ed, you must be eligible to get your learner's permit (15 years and 6 months), as you are required to have the learner's permit prior to the start of the first day of the driver's ed class.

Q: Can I take PE 9 online this summer?
A: You can sign up for the lottery, which is capped at 500 students county-wide. More info can be found by clicking here.

Q: I noticed that PE 9 is already on my PowerSchool course selection screen but I am planning on taking it over the summer. What should I do about replacing it with an elective?
A: Tell your counselor! Be sure to select the elective that you want, even though it will come up as an 8th class. Once you have a conversation with your counselor, she/he will remove PE from your course selections so you have 7!
