The Infinite Scholars Program is a leader in recruiting students for college. They facilitate Scholarship Fairs by contacting colleges/universities to arrange for admissions officers to attend. The program encourages post-secondary institutions in attendance to provide on-site scholarships (merit based and need based) and on-site admission for qualified students. Financial Aid workshops for parents will also take place while students are interviewing with college admissions officers.
On October 8, 2016, participating students are required to bring: current high school transcripts (2.7 GPA or better); Resume; ACT/SAT scores (if available); a brief essay entitled, “Why I Want to Attend College” and three letters of recommendation from school, church, community organizations, or city/county officials. Previously, students have underestimated the number of copies needed. Therefore, we recommend that you encourage students to bring at least five copies of each document.
During the past four years, qualified students have collectively received scholarship awards in excess of $24,876,959.00. Please encourage students to neatly organize documents in a portfolio and have an adult proofread their essays and portfolio entries prior to the Scholarship Fair. Also remind students that they should come appropriately dressed to impress college representatives.
Students must register at www.infinitescholar.org and print an admission ticket. Infinite Scholars Program organizers informed us that college recruiters are extremely eager to attend when they see a large number of students who have pre-registered early at the Infinite Scholars website. Therefore, we ask that you encourage students to register as soon as they receive the announcement.
