Information about the Summer Online Health & PE Lottery is now available! Check out the website here! If you are interested in taking PE online this summer, you will need to sign up for the lottery here during the window of February 8-March 2. You will be notified if you have gotten a spot in the course by March 9. You must register between March 12-23 in order to keep that spot.

The College Board is launching the SAT® Practice Award, a new recognition for students who increase their SAT scores through productive practice on Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy®. Winning students will be notified this week and given a link to download a PDF of their award.
Award winners are selected if they completed 10 or more hours of practice on Official SAT Practice, and if their SAT scores increased by 150 or more points from the PSAT/NMSQT® to the SAT, or 100 or more points from SAT to SAT. Students can mention the award on their college applications or résumés to showcase their hard work.
Official SAT Practice reinforces what students learn in high school by focusing on the knowledge and skills most essential for college. Personalized study plans allow students to pinpoint specific areas for improvement.
GRASP (GReat Aspirations Scholarship Program, Inc.), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable, college-access organization that assists students and families in obtaining funding for post-secondary education, now has a Spanish speaking advisor available to assist students/families with the financial aid process. The advisor, Conchy Martinez, is bilingual and is available to assist with outreach to the Latino community. She staffs an email in Spanish so that parents who speak little or no English can send her financial aid questions in Spanish and receive an answer in Spanish. Her email is email@example.com.

“Get Above It All” The Annual Youth & Young Adult Life skills Summit designed for those (16 -25) will be held on Saturday, September 30th 9am to 1pm at the Creighton Campus of Saint Paul’s Baptist Church. This free workshop is designed to encourage, elevate and equip for a better future. Pastor Lance Watson is the keynote speaker and will share facts on how the next generation can “Transcend” above life’s obstacles and reach higher heights. AKA Rho Eta Omega Chapter's A.S.C.E.N.D. Program is designed to motivate, engage, and assist high school students (grades 9-12) in reaching their maximum potential. AP Exam fees will only be paid this year from February 1st through March 2nd, 2018. This is a change from previous years. Fees will be able to be paid both online and at school with cash or check.
On Saturday, August 12 ECPI University's campuses will be holding an OPEN HOUSE during which students can take tours and see demonstrations. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates who are still exploring higher education options!
